NURSERY

While you are at Sunday School and church, your child will be well cared for. The nursery workers are well trained and ready to give your child all of the love, care, and attention he or she will need while you are away. It is our desire to make your child as comfortable as possible.

DROP OFF / PICK UP

Our nursery works on a pager system. When you arrive, a worker will greet you at the door to receive your baby, take any necessary items, and give you a pager. In an effort to maintain the highest level of safety and order in our nursery, we must insist that no parents enter the nurseries. This numbered pager will need to be brought back to the nursery at the end of the service in order to pick up your child.

  1. One check-in counter for both nursery and toddlers.

  2. Check temperature.

  3. Make sure to take your child to the restroom before checking them in.

  4. Parents use hand sanitizer on the child (toddlers only).

We work very diligently to ensure the safety of the children in our care, and ask that all parents understand and respect the guidelines regarding dropping off and picking up children.

HEALTH POLICIES

To ensure a healthy environment for our babies, we ask that you keep children at home if your child has experienced any of the following symptoms in the past 24 hour period:

  • Fever

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Excessive coughing

  • Pink Eye

  • Green/Yellow runny nose

We understand how quickly symptoms can occur, and that you may not be aware of any problems in advance. If a child is brought in with any of these symptoms or develops them within fifteen minutes after service starts, we will ask parents to please remove the child from the nursery. An usher will assist you as to where you may sit with your child.

The health and safety of all our children is always top priority.

PACKING THE DIAPER BAG

1. Two or three disposable diapers or pull-ups (no cloth diapers, please)
2. Pacifier or other soother, should your child need it for comfort and security
3. A complete change of clothes, in case required
4. A Bottle and formula (Please make bottle in advance if your child will want it during services)

Please label all personal items with your child’s first and last name before arriving at the nursery. This helps us keep better track of your child's things.

Dear Parents,

We are honored to have the privilege of caring for your children in our nursery ministry. Your children will enjoy a church service much more in a nursery designed for his or her needs; you as a parent or guardian can have peace of mind in the service knowing that your children are well cared for.

Our church nursery staff takes this as a very important responsibility. My wife and I have raised four children ourselves—all of whom have gone through the nurseries of Patuxent Baptist Church. We know what a tremendous blessing professional and caring nurseries can be.

Patuxent Baptist Church believes in being first class with what we do. You will find our nurseries to be loving, caring, clean and orderly. We seek to help ease your mind so that you may receive a blessing from the church service. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We will be happy to help in any way we can.
